Drums of the Desert (1940)
Paul Dumont's on his way to work for the French Legion in Morocco, when he meets Helene. She's the bee's knees, and Paul's immediately smitten. But there's a catch. See, Helene's engaged to Paul's best friend, Raoul. When Raoul's wounded in an Arab attack, Paul and Helene's passion is reignited when they end up in a tent together. There's also some subplot about gun running, but it ends up being really confusing.

One of the more amusing things about this film is that the scenes in the craggy Arabian area are the same locations occasionally used in Star Trek (the classic series). Most notably the area where Kirk fought the Gorn captain in "Arena". Watch for the famous craggy outcropping not long before the Arabs attack. ...
